We have a fantastic Range of Catering Facilities at Vantage Point. Below is a taste of what we have to offer:
Café International - Level OneOpening times Monday - Thursday: 0800 – 1630 Friday: 0800 - 1600
Our largest dining area has seating for approximately 400 people. We change our menu daily to ensure that all tastes are catered for. To start your day we offer a full English breakfast with tea or coffee, or if you prefer the lighter option we also have fresh fruit salad, organic bio yogurt & a wide range of cereals. At our Main Service Point we offer:
Daily Special/Carvery- a Roasted Joint of Local Meat or a Home Cooked Classic, accompanied with Roast and New Potatoes and 2 other Steamed Vegetable options.
The Quayside – Traditional Fish dish that changes daily. Indian Curry - served with rice, a Naan bread and Poppadom.
Italian - traditional Pasta meals.
In addition to the main Service points we also have:
Sub Stop Sandwich Bar - A wide range of “Create your Own” Sub Rolls with exciting fresh fillings. American Fast Food Counter- Providing Jumbo Hot dogs, 100% Burgers, Hot filled Baguettes, Chips and all items associated with fast food outlets.
Lifestyle Island – in contrast to the above, caters for specific dietary requirements/food allergies and provides the healthier option. It is situated in the centre of the servery area and is primarily a Salad/Noodle bar. All drinks offerings are zero sugar and diet products, low fat Milkshakes, Mineral Water and Milk. Snacks available are Fresh Fruit, Baked not Fried Crisps, Apple Crisps, Cereal bars, Organic and Fair-trade products to cater for all lifestyles.
If you really want a quick pit stop why not grab one of our filled sandwiches. We have a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian options. Specific low fat fillings are used which include for example low fat Jamaican Jerk Chicken or Char Sui Pork, these are mayonnaise free and all are served in white and wholemeal bread with salad.
If you would like to simply have a quick break we offer a wide selection of hot and cold drinks that can be served with our home made cakes, freshly baked Danish or cookies.

Greenhouse Cafe - The Street - Level OneOpening times Monday - Thursday: 0900 - 1400 Friday: 0900 – 1400 Situated in “the Street” on Level 1, the Greenhouse Café is very “Green” & not just in appearance! It offers extensive salads & pasta dishes alongside wholesome homemade cooked meals & soups. Where possible we use Fair-trade products and local produce which ranges from our free range Devon eggs to mineral water from the Cornish coast! We also have a wide refreshment selection which includes Espresso Based Coffee & various Juices & Milkshakes.
Espresso Express - Level TwoOpening times Monday - Thursday: 0830 - 1600 Friday: 0830 – 1530 (Open Non Student weeks also) Located on Level 2 near the Theatre, Espresso Express provides a great place to relax and enjoy a light snack, or hot and cold drink. On a fine day you can also enjoy your snack in our outdoor courtyard area. Tortilla Wraps with various fillings are available, alongside of course a wide selection of Danish Pastries. All delicious with a good quality freshly ground Fairtrade coffee!
Italian Servery - Level TwoOpening times Monday - Thursday: 1000 - 1830 Friday: 1000 – 1600 (Open Non Student weeks also) Located on Level 2 next to the Espresso Express, We serve a range of Pasta, Pizza, Pastries, Paninis and Italian Breads with new exciting fillings, inspired by the Italian love of food.
Vending ServicesVending machines are located in the Cafe International, Student Common Room, Electrical Installation and in the Motor Vehicle Buildings dispensing Hot and Cold Drinks, Confectionery and Snacks. Fresh Drinking Water Dispensers are situated in the
PLEASE NOTE food must only be consumed in these areas & not in the corridors or classrooms. Please help us to keep all of the Catering areas clean and tidy by clearing your tables & placing any litter in the bins provided.
