Digital Media and Creative Arts Qualifications
Teachers delivering this curriculum area have all worked in the Digital Media and Creative Arts Industries and they have considerable commercial experience. Resources are cutting edge, utilising Apple Mac computers and the latest digital software. For example, the curriculum will include the teaching of “App Design”, one of the first education providers in the South West to be able to offer these technological and creative skills to students. The course focuses on creativity, problem solving and production skills in a wide area of practices such as: film- making; app and web design, digital graphics and print; photography and traditional art.
Within Digital Media learners experience diverse aspects of Digital Media creation. With creative, technical and contextual development at its centre, students undertake a multitude of creative briefs and projects. There is a strong practical focus with the aim to echo the industry, by setting live briefs and emulating industry practice. Learners can expect to develop a broad, creative and technical toolkit through experimenting with; digital image making, graphic design, film making, animation and motion graphics.

Donna has a degree in Animation Arts. Her specialism is in 2D animation. She has a broad understanding within this field that enables her to apply her knowledge and industry experience to every aspect of her teaching. Donna has continued to expand her creative skillset with freelance commission work and personal creative undertakings within film animation and digital image making.
