If your child is registered as home educated and is in year 10 or 11, you can access up to 3 days' worth of provision over 35 weeks of the year at South Devon College
In 2013-2014 we delivered a pilot 14-16 Elective Home Educated Scheme, that worked in partnership with the local authorities and parents who are home educating their children. The pilot scheme provided a provision that delivered qualifications in vocational areas, employability and maths and/or English. The pilot was a huge success and has seen a high percentage of learners continue their pathway on to post 16 courses.
Due to the success of the pilot we have continued to deliver the outstanding provision. This now allows us to look at every student as an individual and offer a Personalised Learning Programme - a custom plan tailored to you as an individual that ensures you gain the academic, vocational and employability skills necessary to achieve your goals. If your child is registered as home educated, is in year 10 or 11, you can access up to 3 days' worth of provision over 35 weeks of the year.
The courses currently on offer for children who are home educated during 2015-16 include:
- Public Services (1 and 2 year courses)
