We offer a range of counselling courses which will help you to start or develop your career in the counselling industry.
What is Counselling?
Counselling is a talking therapy that involves a trained therapist listening to you and helping you find ways to deal with emotional issues. Sometimes the term “counselling” is used to refer to talking therapies in general, but counselling is also a type of therapy in its own right.
Our counselling courses aim to provide you with an in-depth knowledge in:
- What counselling is
- Counselling skills
- The importance of abiding by ethical guidelines in counselling practice
- Working with equality and diversity in clients
- Core counselling theories
On completion of one of our Level 4 and above programmes and from completing the necessary work placement and competencies, you will be able to apply for individual accreditation with a Counselling Body or Society, which will enable you to work within the counselling field.
