Our New Rugby Pathway
We are now offering an additional pathway of this course to allow timetabled time for rugby training.
This pathway aims to focus on the values of both the uniformed public services and the spirit of rugby. Each student will graduate with the character, teamwork, resilience, and skills necessary for a career of professional excellence in public service, while embodying the strength, camaraderie, and sportsmanship that rugby instills.
The vision is to interlink the unique ethos of rugby throuought the course with a combination of public service values and the lessons learned on the rugby field.

4 Days per week
One Strength and Conditioning Gym based training session
One Rugby skill specific session
Wednesdays Dedicated Game Time and Tutorial
Course Details
- You must have a GCSE Grade 4(C) in English
- You must have a GCSE Grade 4(C) in Maths
- You should have a genuine interest in this subject

If the amount shown is more than £0.00 and you are aged 19 and over at the start of the course, you may have options to help fund your studies with us. The funding you can receive depends on your personal circumstances, and could mean you are entitled to fully subsidised or reduced tuition fees.
Many of our courses are fully funded for 16-18 year olds however not all courses are available for this age group.
You may also be entitled to support with travel, childcare and equipment.

Glyn came in to education in 2004 and has worked as a public service lecturer since 2009. Prior to working at South Devon College, Glyn Served in the Royal Navy Submarine Service and completed a degree in Physical Education. Glyn has since completed a Research Masters in History.Glyn Potter
