Charlotte’s story of success first started after gaining first place at the regional heats for Health and Social Care hosted at the South and City College Birmingham in May 2018. Scoring amongst the top 8 regional competitors at the heat, Charlotte was overjoyed with the result, gaining entry to the national finals later this year.
South Devon College Lecturer in Health and Care, Sally Freeman said, “Charlotte has worked extremely hard to train and study to increase her theoretical knowledge and practical skills to compete in this competition. She pushes herself outside of her comfort zone to compete in front of a panel of judges, and added to this there will be hundreds of spectators at the NEC in Birmingham in November. All the health and care team are very proud of her achievements so far, and wish her the very best of luck in the Worldskills UK Final in Health and Care.”
Upon completion of her course, Charlotte intend to progress her studies onto university to study Adult Nursing. When Charlotte is not busy with her studies, she also attends to her Health Care Assistant part time role caring the elderly.
